What is the HFHS Lab Formulary?

It is a comprehensive list of all laboratory tests that are available to HFHS-affiliated providers through the HFHS Laboratory Service Line. This list includes tests that are performed at HFHS Laboratory Service Line as well as tests that are sent to referral laboratories.

Who governs HFHS Lab Formulary?

The HFHS Lab Formulary operates under the oversight of a system wide Medical Laboratory Formulary Committee (MLFC). MLFC operates through two subcommittees: Clinical Evaluation and Technical Assessment Committee (CETAC) and Laboratory Utilization Taskforce (LUTF).

MLFC ensures that laboratory tests are assessed for comparative medical efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness. It comprises of delegates from HF hospitals, medical centers, HFPN and select clinical departments.
