from Henry Ford Medical Centers or late in day specimens may result in one
additional day).
All results are posted to Care Plus. Significantly abnormal results will
be communicated verbally to the physician/clinic.

Results
of specimens received before 10:00 a.m. may be available the same day by
5:00 p.m. Results of specimens received after 11:00 a.m. on Friday
will usually be available by 5:00 p.m. the following Monday. Cytology "rush" results
are to be requested through the Director of the Cytopathology Laboratory
at (313) 916-2328. These results will be available within three hours.

about specimen receipt or report status should be directed to the Laboratory
Customer Service Center at (313) 916-5227 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday
through Friday. They can forward your call to the individual pathologist
assigned to the case or the Division Head.
