This fluid
is used for transporting specimens obtained by fine needle aspiration biopsy,
all endoscopic specimens, washings and rinses.Cytology preservative is especially useful for specimens from
satellites and procedures performed when the Cytopathology Laboratory is closed.Cytology fixative can be obtained from the Cytopathology Laboratory
at (313) 916-2328.Note that the
fluid has an expiration date and additional fluid should be ordered accordingly.
When you receive the preservative from the Cytology Laboratory, store in a flammable cabinet.Detailed
